Christmas comes early again at A2F! This past Friday, we spent our Halloween shopping, packing, and wrapping gifts inside shoeboxes for many underprivileged kids around the world. It was definitely a very fun and worthwhile experience for all of us giving to others and sharing God's love! Here are some pictures from what was a very memorable night.
Wow, what a weekend! The freshmen and the upperclassmen went away for a fun-filled time of games, food, sports, stories, and always... good fellowship. It was a great way for us to get away from the craziness of school, and just unwind. If the recap video above wasn't enough, here are some more pictures from the weekend!

What was once named a "5K/10K Run for Missions" quickly became a "5K/10K Run-to-keep-your-extremities-from-falling-off." But close to freezing weather didn't stop us from having a very memorable morning together raising money for our future mission trips this year! Great job to all the runners!

This past Friday, we met as a large group for our TFN bible study. Pastor Timothy delivered the second message in our "Cries of the Heart" series. And as another one of the cries in all of our hearts is the impending winter that is quickly approaching, we thought we'd take advantage of a warm night to run around the campus for our post-TFN activity!
For the first time ever, we played "The Amazing Race," which is equal parts photo scavenger hunt, wacky challenges, and straight up foot race. We scoured the campus looking for coins, pushing cars, dancing, all while enjoying one another's company!

Welcome week and the first week of school is in the books! How's everyone feeling? A lot has happened the past few weeks: Our first bible study of the new year, our Labor Day Picnic, and of course...New Student Welcome Night! But rather than me talking about it, I thought it'd be better if we showed you.

For those of you checking us out for the first time, welcome! Glad you're here! I'm sure you've seen the flyers, posters, and heard the word about this thing here at Acts 2 Fellowship called New Student Welcome Night (dun dun dun). You might be wondering to yourself, "What is New Student Welcome Night (dun dun dun)?"
We could tell you, but we thought it'd be better to show you!

Yesterday, we had our first campus prayer walk of the summer. It was a great time for all of us to come together and pray for the U of M campus! We split off two by two, walking the streets, halls, and dorms that will be filled once again with 50,000+ students in a matter of a couple of months. We are excited for the new school year, we are excited for the new friends that we will meet, and we are excited for what God will do in our midst this fall!Read More
Remember that awesome conference we were at earlier this summer – ACTS? Remember those awesome seminars we furiously took notes during? After returning to Minneapolis from Berkeley, we had the chance to share what we had learned, starting with Worldview Camp 2014 at Raph and Clark’s old youth group, T4C West. We began working hard to prepare talks, games, and food for the middle school and high school students who would be there. As the day of the camp approached, work nights got longer and sleep decreased, but dry runs became more polished and games became more fun!

As some of you guys might have noticed, we sang a new song this past Sunday at our Worship Service. It is a song called Mercy Tree written by Krissy Nordhoff and sung by Lacey Sturm. The song was inspired by the verse Romans 5:8, which reads:
"but God showed His love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us."
Below is the song as sung as part of the My Hope video series by Billy Graham, which many of us watched last year! Enjoy, and get familiar with it, because we might be singing it again in the near future :)
7 cars, 40 passengers, chips, soda, riddles, Chuck Norris jokes, and 30 hours of driving later, we finally made it to Yellowstone! It was a whirlwind and time just flew by (even when driving through North Dakota), but what an awesome trip! But don't take my word for it. We'll let these pictures tell the story :)Read More
"So the last will be first, and the first last." [Matthew 20:16]
Or in the case of the red team, the last will be first for only 10 minutes before eventually finishing second :). In our finale, we saw a major shakeup in the standings as the 4 teams battled it out to the bitter end in Dodgeball, Kan Jam, Capture the Flag, and Braveheart! In the end, one team made it out the other side on top of the competition, and that was the...Read More
Week two of our tournament of champions is in the books, and here are the updated standings:
Green wins the "Most Improved" award as they catapulted from last place to second! Green team, how do you feel?
Gold also had a strong showing as they moved into first, and blue takes a slight dip after coming out on top last week. Merhawit, what do you think about blue team falling down to third place?
The scores are still close, and who knows what can happen next time? Keep up the good work, everyone! It's been a lot of fun so far! Here are some photos from the night, capped off by a riveting and thoroughly entertaining round of Austratlian Relay!
